About the Instructor - Deedee Eisenberg:

  • has taught yoga since 1987. Deedee first practiced in the Iyengar tradition, including 4 months’ study at the Iyengar Institute in Pune, India. For the past 10 years, she has practiced in the tradition of Krishnamacharya, linking movement and breath and adapting practices to individuals. In 2002 Deedee attended a 2- week therapeutic yoga training at the Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. She is RYT500 with Yoga Alliance.
  • has taught the Feldenkrais Method since 1993. Deedee became a FGNA certified Feldenkrais practitioner in 1996, completing her training with Yvan Joly in Montreal, Quebec. She has presented workshops at the national Feldenkrais conference, and at Matheny Hospital, Omega Institute, and more.
  • was a resident student of Geshe Wangyal, Mongolian lama, Tibetan Buddhist scholar and adept, from 1973- 1977. Since 1996 Deedee practices with the Community of Mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
  • received a PhD in Environmental Studies and MS in Epidemiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
